CAN(VA)S FOR KIDS

The children at the Heritage School in Limassol have collected cans for several years, and have recently been studying various aspects of recycling. One youngster came up with a novel idea for rasing funds for Cans For Kids: Nikki Koper, a year two student, decided to create a painting and put it up for sale on the free online classified ads website www.bazaraki.com.

“Scary Mermaid” sold for 20 Cyprus Pounds, followed by a second painting, “The Colourful Castle” and now, as part of an art/computer/science/environmental studies project, all the children from Year One and Year Two have created their own masterpieces which have gone on the website to raise funds for Cans For Kids.
